[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] KT Skylife announced on the 18th that it will launch an art career education and teaching aid support project for youth in culturally marginalized areas in collaboration with the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA).
On the 17th, Skylife signed an agreement with the MMCA to support youth in culturally marginalized regions and donated 50 million KRW through the MMCA Cultural Foundation.
The "Museum People" project sponsored by Skylife is part of the MMCA's "Visiting Museum Education" program, which has been ongoing since 2016. It provides teaching aids that allow middle and high school students to experience museum-related professions, introducing the roles and functions of museums and offering opportunities to explore museum-related careers.
This year, with Skylife's sponsorship, teaching aids linked to career experiences for archivists and conservators will be provided. The MMCA develops and distributes these teaching aids and instructional guides tailored to the characteristics of youth.
Kim Cheolsu, CEO of KT Skylife, stated, "Skylife, which has guaranteed universal viewing rights through nationwide coverage, will practice public responsibility so that youth in culturally marginalized areas can also enjoy universal cultural benefits."
