Providing Exam Pass Prediction Analysis Report
Showing Stable Cutoff Scores by University and Department
Seoul Major Universities Accuracy 92%, Medical and Dental Schools 93%
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Etoos Education, an online and offline education platform company, announced on the 16th that it will provide the CSAT mock application service ‘MOJI’ free of charge for students taking the 2022 College Scholastic Ability Test.
MOJI is a mock application service that allows students to virtually apply to their desired universities and departments based on their preliminary CSAT scores and actual results, predicting their chances of acceptance. Using an AI machine learning technique, the acceptance safe-cut algorithm shows the stable cutoff lines for each university and department as the result.
MOJI will be available free of charge to all test takers from 6 p.m. on the CSAT day, the 18th, until mid-February next year. Analyzing about 280,000 uses of the MOJI service in its first year last year, major universities including Seoul National University, Yonsei University, and Korea University recorded an accuracy rate of 92%, and nationwide medical, dental, Korean medicine, and veterinary departments showed a 93% accuracy rate.
After entering their scores, students can virtually apply to their desired universities and departments, and receive a predictive analysis report based on the mock application status of competitors and past data. The report includes expected cutoff lines, competitors’ score ranges, and application tendencies, allowing students to anticipate their chances of acceptance in advance.
It is also possible to predict acceptance based on preliminary scores. During the regular application period, competition rates for interested universities and departments are updated in real time.
New features reflecting this year’s changed admission system are also introduced. In this year’s CSAT, which is conducted under the integrated liberal arts and sciences system, students can easily assess the advantages or disadvantages of their math scores by converting them to last year’s scores. A chatbot has been introduced to help parents and students understand the complex admission system.
After analyzing the final application details of competitors with similar scores and mock application patterns, MOJI also recommends universities with a high likelihood of acceptance. By reflecting competitors’ application details and preferred university rankings, it excludes fictitious applicants to improve the accuracy of the analysis results.
Kim Donghee, Chief Platform Officer (CPO) of Etoos Education, said, "This year is the first CSAT conducted under the integrated liberal arts and sciences system, so objectively understanding one’s position is more important than ever. MOJI will provide more accurate predictive results through accumulated data since last year and continuous upgrades."
