Kyungnong, Six-Month Administrative Suspension of Pesticide Import Business License

[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] Kyungnong announced on the 15th that it has received an administrative disposition of a 6-month suspension of pesticide import business from the Rural Development Administration.

The company stated, "This is because the Rural Development Administration identified the fact that we are temporarily storing the pesticides 1-MCP micro-fumigant and 1-MCP gas-generating fumigant, which had their registrations canceled ex officio in September 2017, for disposal purposes."

Furthermore, the company said, "The administrative disposition suspends import business activities during the disposition period, but manufacturing and sales operations will be maintained."
