Krafton Targets G-Star with 'Battlegrounds: New State'

[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Krafton is gearing up to conquer 'G-Star 2021' with its new title 'Battlegrounds: New State.' The plan is to go 'all-in' on promoting Battlegrounds: New State without announcing any other new titles.

According to Krafton on the 14th, the company will showcase the newly released Battlegrounds: New State, which officially launched globally on the 11th, at booth A02 in the BTC exhibition hall at BEXCO, Busan, from the 17th to the 21st during G-Star.

Battlegrounds: New State is a mobile game directly developed by PUBG Studio, the pioneer of the battle royale genre. It inherits the gameplay and universe of 'PUBG: Battlegrounds,' which is currently available on PC and console platforms. The game garnered great anticipation with 55 million pre-registrations before its release.

The game is available in 17 languages, including Korean, English, Japanese, and German, across more than 200 countries worldwide. Players can enjoy battle royale mode on the original map Troi and the iconic Battlegrounds map Erangel. Additionally, the game offers 4v4 team deathmatch and a training ground to enhance gameplay variety.

Krafton plans to elevate visitors' gaming experience by incorporating Battlegrounds: New State's unique futuristic universe and sensibility into the design and layout of the G-Star exhibition booth. Various experience programs are also prepared, including ▲Game Experience Zone ▲New Battlegrounds MBTI Zone ▲Emote Dance Challenge Zone ▲Photo Zone ▲Goods Shop.

From the 18th, when general admission begins, several celebrities and creators will participate in event matches such as the 'New Battlegrounds Challenge Match' and live talks. These events will be broadcast live daily at 11:30 AM from the 18th to the 21st on the official YouTube channel.

Furthermore, an online cheering event will be held to support the Korean national team participating in the 'PUBG Global Championship 2021,' the ultimate Battlegrounds esports competition.

Kim Chang-han, CEO of Krafton, stated, "Through participating in G-Star 2021, we will faithfully fulfill our role as a leading domestic game company to invigorate the Korean game industry," adding, "We will showcase Krafton's unique creativity and technological prowess centered on Battlegrounds: New State."
