[Asia Economy Reporter Bu Aeri] Com2uS unveiled its blueprint for developing blockchain games on the 10th.
Com2uS has actively invested in promising domestic and international companies leading the blockchain and metaverse sectors, including WYSIWYG Studios, Animoca Brands, Candy Digital, and The Sandbox. It is now embarking on game development and platform construction utilizing these technologies.
Com2uS announced plans to lead the global Play to Earn (P2E) game market by applying blockchain systems to 'Summoners War: Chronicle,' scheduled for release next year.
Summoners War: Chronicle is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) based on the Summoners War universe. It grants users ownership rights to blockchain-based items and in-game currency acquired during gameplay.
Com2uS is creating a metaverse consortium that includes companies and services across various fields such as gaming, video, performances, finance, shopping, and healthcare. It is promoting the construction of an all-in-one metaverse platform called 'Com2Verse,' which combines work, life, and play.
The 'Com2Verse' platform will feature 'Office World,' providing virtual office environments regardless of location, and 'Commercial World,' where users can purchase necessary products and access medical and financial services. It also includes 'Theme Park World,' offering various entertainment such as games, music, movies, and performances, and 'Community World,' where users can interact together. Additionally, an independent blockchain economic ecosystem will be established in connection with these services, designed as a mirror world metanomics platform where participants can enjoy life-like living as active economic agents.
Meanwhile, Com2uS recorded sales of 113.1 billion KRW and an operating profit of 12.9 billion KRW in the third quarter. This represents a decrease of 11.8% in sales and 51% in operating profit compared to the previous year.
