[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] The Police University Institute of Public Security Policy announced that it will hold an academic webinar over two days on the 9th and 10th under the themes "Metaverse Crime: Virtual or Real?" and "Directions and Challenges of Autonomous Public Security."


This seminar was organized to commemorate the 41st anniversary of the Institute of Public Security Policy and to proactively respond to the rapidly changing public security environment in the era of non-face-to-face interactions. The topics include countermeasures against metaverse virtual reality crimes and ensuring cybersecurity in preparation for the commercialization of autonomous driving.


Kim Chang-ryong, Commissioner of the National Police Agency, emphasized, "Along with the rapid changes in the public security environment, various risks have newly appeared in the daily lives of citizens," adding, "We will institutionalize problem-solving-oriented police activities within the organization."
