Busan Agricultural Technology Center Opens New 'Green Smart' Building Era... Opening Ceremony on the 11th in Gangseo-gu

Construction started in 2018 with a 20 billion KRW investment, total floor area 5,757㎡, 4 floors above ground

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The Busan Agricultural Technology Center will hold an opening ceremony for its new building at 10:30 a.m. on the 11th, which is Agricultural Day.

The slogan presented by the newly opened Agricultural Technology Center is "Towards the Future of Agriculture, Green Smart City Busan."

The opening ceremony will take place around the new building on Gonghang-ro, Gangseo-gu, and will proceed in the order of ▲commemorative and congratulatory speeches, ▲award presentations, ▲opening commemorative performance, and ▲tour of the new building facilities.

A small number of attendees, including Lee Byung-jin, Deputy Mayor of Busan, officials from Busan and related organizations, and local farmers, will participate in the opening event.

The new Agricultural Technology Center building was constructed on a 8,062㎡ site in Daejeo 1-dong, Gangseo-gu, Busan, with a total investment of 19.967 billion KRW since 2018. It is a four-story building with a total floor area of 5,757㎡.

The new building houses scientific farming support facilities such as education and office spaces, a beneficial microorganism cultivation center, a comprehensive testing laboratory, and a plant comprehensive hospital. Additionally, new facilities include a vertical farm, smart agriculture education center, agricultural product processing education center, and an agricultural machinery rental business office.

Kim Jeong-guk, Director of the Agricultural Technology Center, said, "The new building, which will be the foundation for Busan agriculture's next hundred years, is equipped with advanced scientific farming facilities including smart convergence facilities, enabling us to respond to the rapidly changing agricultural environment."
