Asiana Airlines Increases Singapore Route Frequency to 5 Times a Week

[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Asiana Airlines announced on the 8th that, as previously announced, it will increase flights on the Singapore route, the second travel bubble destination.

Asiana Airlines will increase the Singapore route, which operated three times a week, to four times a week starting from the 15th when the travel bubble is implemented, and will further increase it to five times a week from December. The flight departs from Incheon at 16:20 (Korean time) and arrives in Singapore at 21:55 (local time), operated by an A330 aircraft.

Flights subject to the Singapore travel bubble agreement VTL (Vaccinated Travel Lane) are limited to departures on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, and flights departing on Saturday are not subject to VTL.

Passengers on VTL flights must have completed vaccination at least 14 days prior. They must carry a negative PCR test certificate conducted within 48 hours before departure from Korea. Upon arrival, a PCR test is conducted locally, and if the result is negative, quarantine exemption is possible. For entry into Korea, a negative PCR test certificate conducted within 72 hours before departure must be carried to be exempted from quarantine after arrival.

Hwang Incheon, head of Asiana Airlines' Singapore branch, said, “This travel bubble agreement between the governments of Korea and Singapore was made based on mutual trust,” and added, “I hope this agreement will bear good fruit so that meeting between the people of the two countries will no longer be a special event but a daily routine.”
