[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Selvas AI is showing strong performance. News that it is discussing a strategic partnership with a metaverse platform company for voice artificial intelligence (AI) technology appears to be influencing its stock price.

As of 9:18 AM on the 8th, Selvas AI is trading at 5,150 KRW, up 11.71% from the previous trading day.

Hana Financial Investment analyzed that voice technology should be noted regarding Selvas AI. Established in 1999, Selvas AI has conducted research and development in the HCI (Human Computer Interaction) field for 22 years. It provides AI solutions such as speech recognition (STT), speech synthesis (TTS), natural language processing, and handwriting recognition.

Choi Jae-ho, a researcher at Hana Financial Investment, stated, "Through domain-specific data learning, it holds the highest domestic speech recognition rate of over 98%," and introduced it as "the absolute leader in voice technology, holding about 60% market share in speech synthesis technology, ranking first domestically."

He added, "Selvas AI plans to apply voice technology, a core technology for interactive communication, to virtual humans within the metaverse worldview," emphasizing, "While most domestic AI companies are recording operating losses, Selvas AI is expected to achieve its best-ever performance this year."

He said, "This is why you should pay attention to the highly undervalued Selvas AI," and noted, "It is a time when absolute valuation and stock price re-rating are necessary."

Furthermore, he emphasized, "With the acceleration of digitalization, unmanned technology has become a core trend, and Selvas AI's high growth is anticipated," adding, "Since 2019, Selvas AI has been commercializing AI solutions optimized for unmanned technology through R&D of AI convergence products based on voice technology starting early this year."

Researcher Choi said, "With the metaverse mega trend, the activities and influence of virtual humans are increasing," and explained, "Currently, various virtual influencers such as AI idols, actors, and YouTubers are emerging, and for real-time, realistic communication, interactive communication using voice technology is essential."

He emphasized, "Selvas AI is understood to be discussing a strategic partnership with a blockchain-based metaverse platform company for the purpose of utilizing voice recognition and synthesis AI technology for metaverse characters related to virtual humans."

He also expressed expectations, saying, "It will not be real-time comment communication with existing virtual humans but will support real-time voice communication or provide voice technology support to characters within the metaverse platform."

He concluded, "The capabilities of various game engine-based virtual humans, comprehensive entertainment, visual effects (VFX·CG), and planning, production, distribution, and technology will come together to create various synergies."
