According to the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education on the 4th, A (18), a student attending a high school in Gangjin, jumped from a 4-meter-high railing while arguing with friends about school violence issues in front of the classroom the previous day.
A claimed that on the morning of the 27th of last month at 10:53 a.m., she was assaulted during an argument with her ex-boyfriend B over SNS issues at school, reported the school violence with a medical certificate diagnosing two weeks of injury to the police, and was under investigation.
B claimed, "I was assaulted too. It’s unfair," and C agreed with B’s statement.
At the time of the incident, A reportedly had an argument with C after visiting the school with her family to receive a confirmation letter from the school violence review committee.
A sustained fractures to her face and both arms and was transported to a university hospital by the 119 emergency medical team for treatment. It is known that her life is not in danger.
A Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education official stated, "A is currently recovering, and a response team has been formed to provide psychological counseling for students who witnessed A’s jump," adding, "An investigation into the school violence is currently underway."
