[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Agtech company EasyFarm announced on the 4th that it was selected as an outstanding company at the '2021 6th 4th Industrial Revolution Power Korea Expo' and received the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Award.
This event is co-hosted by the National Assembly 4th Industrial Revolution Forum and the Korea Journalists Association, and supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT, Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Ministry of Health and Welfare, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, and Ministry of SMEs and Startups. It awards companies that are leading the 4th Industrial Revolution for their excellent technological achievements.
EasyFarm was recognized for its achievements in leading the domestic agtech industry by developing its own platform that integrates agricultural and livestock big data with artificial intelligence and blockchain technology in the fields of livestock, smart farms, distribution, and commerce.
In particular, EasyFarm explained that it received high evaluations for efforts in digital agriculture transformation, including the country’s No.1 pig farming production management system 'PigPlan', blockchain-based agricultural products direct transaction platform 'SHOPBLY', the only customized ERP system for production area distribution centers 'SmartAPC', selection for the 2020 blockchain public leading pilot project, and selection for the government AI voucher support project.
PigPlan provides various performance management services to improve productivity for pig farms from sow farrowing to the shipping stage of fattening pigs. Additionally, by developing a pig healthcare platform that integrates artificial intelligence and blockchain technology, it expanded individual management services, which were previously focused only on sows, to fattening pigs, managing data such as activity levels, feed intake, antibiotic administration timing, and disease history to differentiate pig quality.
EasyFarm operates the agricultural product e-commerce SHOPBLY, which enables producers and consumers to trade agricultural products transparently and with confidence by developing the blockchain technology-based agricultural product supply chain platform 'Blocery'. Its features include blockchain-based traceability and history management systems, and contract farming through a pre-order method that allows producers to secure funds and manage inventory.
Furthermore, EasyFarm has continued the 'SmartAPC' project, informatizing data on agricultural product receipt, sorting, storage, shipping, and settlement by establishing a customized ERP system for production area distribution centers (APCs) at 56 nationwide hubs. Agricultural management entities can monitor supply and demand situations in real time through this system and establish production strategies.
Jin Gyomun, CEO of EasyFarm, said, "As an agtech company executing the digital transformation of agriculture, we will lead the agricultural big data ecosystem connecting smart farms and production area distribution centers," adding, "We will leap forward as a global agtech company through pig healthcare platforms integrating artificial intelligence and blockchain technology, and agricultural product online e-commerce applying blockchain technology and the metaverse."
