[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] The South Korea-U.S. foreign ministers' meeting, which was scheduled to be held on the 30th (local time) in conjunction with the G20 summit, has been postponed.
Foreign Minister Chung Eui-yong and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken were scheduled to hold talks at 2 p.m. (around 9 p.m. Korean time) that day, but the meeting was delayed by an hour and then postponed altogether due to delays in the plenary session. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the schedule is being rearranged for the meeting to be held on the 31st.
In this meeting, they are expected to review the results of the meeting between President Moon Jae-in and U.S. President Joe Biden the previous day and discuss North Korea dialogue measures such as a declaration to formally end the Korean War and humanitarian aid.
