Coverage Status Graph Provided for All Damage and Life Insurance Coverage
Divided into 10 Categories
Comparison of Coverage Details by Same Gender and Age Group
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance announced on the 30th that the number of users of its 'Smart Coverage Analysis Service' has surpassed 2 million.
The Smart Coverage Analysis Service is a service that allows customers to easily and quickly check the insurance subscription levels for themselves and their children, covering everything from health to everyday risks. Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance has been providing this service through its direct channel since July 2018. More than 110,000 customers use the service every month this year as well.
This service can be used easily and conveniently anytime and anywhere, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with just a few clicks. Even when using the service, customers do not receive insurance solicitation calls, allowing them to use it without any burden.
Since 2006, the coverage status of all property and life insurance products subscribed to by customers is divided into 10 categories: medical expenses, hospitalization expenses, surgery expenses, cancer, brain & heart, death, disability, injury, driver, and housing & living, and is provided in an easy-to-understand graph format at a glance.
In particular, along with the customer's coverage status, the service compares it with the coverage details subscribed to by customers of the same gender and age group, enabling customers to easily understand their insurance subscription level themselves. Customers can use this to subscribe to the Smart Customized Coverage Insurance, a direct-exclusive customized integrated product that allows them to select only the coverage they really need.
Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance Direct upgraded the coverage analysis service in April using artificial intelligence (AI). The existing service recommended insufficient coverage by comparing it with the average coverage subscribed to by peers of similar age. After the upgrade, not only the subscription patterns of the same customer group by age and gender but also the compensation data claimed and paid by Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance over the past three years are analyzed using AI technology, enabling more precise analysis of recommended coverage content and coverage amounts.
A representative from Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance Direct said, "We have been striving to create products that meet customers' needs who want to select only the coverage they desire," and added, "We hope that through the more sophisticated Smart Coverage Analysis Service, customers will be able to directly select and subscribe to the coverage they need."
