[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Seul-gi] Kim Hyun-chul, the second son of the late former President Kim Young-sam and Executive Director of the Kim Young-sam Democracy Center, publicly endorsed Yoon Seok-yeol, the presidential pre-candidate of the People Power Party.

On the 28th, Executive Director Kim wrote on his Facebook, "November 5th, the day of the People Power Party presidential primary, is the day Yoon Seok-yeol will pass the party primary."

He continued, "Above all, Yoon has been at the forefront of overthrowing the ruthless, shameless, and incompetent clique of the current regime," adding, "Many citizens eagerly awaiting regime change hope that (Yoon) will definitely win the primary and eradicate the countless corruption cases of the current administration."

Furthermore, Executive Director Kim stated, "I am confident that the election results will prove that he is the only suitable candidate to demonstrate that justice, common sense, and fairness are alive," and urged, "Until that day, I hope we all keep fighting until the end."

Meanwhile, in the past, Executive Director Kim publicly supported Moon Jae-in, the Democratic Party's presidential candidate, ahead of the 2017 presidential election. At that time, he said, "I supported him because I thought he was the only candidate who could achieve true harmony between Yeongnam and Honam." However, since leaving the Democratic Party in January 2019, he has continued to criticize President Moon.
