391 Afghan Special Contributors Enter Yeosu Mandeok-dong Marine Police Education Center on 27th
[Yeosu=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Sim Kyung-taek] Afghan special contributors and their families, who had been staying in Jincheon, Chungbuk for about two months, are spending the winter warmly in Yeosu, Jeonnam.
On the 27th at around 10 a.m., 391 Afghan special contributors departed from the Jincheon National Human Resources Development Institute for Public Officials and arrived at their new home, the Korea Coast Guard Education Center located in Mandeok-dong, Yeosu, around 2 p.m.
In front of the Yeosu Coast Guard Education Center where they entered, Kang Sung-guk, Vice Minister of Justice, Park Hyun-sik, Deputy Mayor of Yeosu, and officials from the Ministry of Justice and Yeosu City welcomed them.
In particular, local organizations of Yeosu City and residents of Ocheon-dong held welcome banners and placards, warmly greeting the Afghan special contributors who were divided among 13 buses.
They will live here until February next year and receive social settlement education such as Korean language, fire prevention, and waste separation.
Meanwhile, the Afghan special contributors number 391, consisting of 156 adults, 195 children, and 40 infants.
