The Criminal Division of the Sangju Branch of Daegu District Court (Chief Judge Hwang Seong-wook) announced on the 28th that it sentenced dog owner A (66) to 2 years in prison on charges of releasing dogs without safety measures and causing injury to a pedestrian (gross negligence injury and violation of the Animal Protection Act, etc.).


A is accused of releasing six hunting dogs without leashes and muzzles on a walking trail in Mungyeong-si, Gyeongbuk Province, at around 7:39 p.m. on July 25, causing serious injuries to a mother and daughter in their 60s and 40s who were walking.
