Samsung Electronics Launches New 'Bespoke Grande AI' Dryer with Largest 20kg Capacity in Korea

[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] Samsung Electronics launched a new product, the 'Bespoke Grande Dryer AI' with the largest domestic drying capacity of 20kg, on the 28th.

This is the first time a dryer with a drying capacity of 20kg has been introduced in Korea. Samsung Electronics explained that this reflects the trend of preferring large capacities that can comfortably dry even bedding laundry. From January to September this year, dryers with a large capacity of 17kg or more accounted for 60% of Samsung Electronics' domestic dryer sales.

This new product maintains the exterior size identical to the previous maximum capacity 19kg model while increasing the drying capacity. This means a larger capacity dryer can fit in the same space. Samsung Electronics stated that by expanding the condenser heating surface area of the heat exchanger by about 18% and improving the precision of humidity sensing, among other core component design optimizations, they were able to increase capacity while keeping the size the same.

This product has obtained the highest energy efficiency rating of Grade 1. Like the existing Bespoke Grande Dryer AI, this product applies 'Hybrid Heat Pump Low-Temperature Dehumidification' technology to quickly preheat the drum and then control it below 60℃, enabling ultra-fast drying. It also features ▲ 'AI Customized Drying' that considers the temperature and humidity inside and outside the drum using precise temperature and humidity sensors to dry with the optimal course ▲ 'Laundry Room Space Dehumidification' that removes moisture from the laundry room ▲ and '360˚ Air Holes' that uniformly blow strong air from the back of the drum.

Additionally, it offers a 'Lifetime Warranty' service that provides free parts repair or replacement if the digital inverter motor or compressor breaks down while the consumer is using the product.

The Bespoke Grande Dryer AI 20kg model is available in four colors: Greige, Black, Inox, and White, with a retail price ranging from 1,749,000 to 1,899,000 KRW.
