[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Small and Medium Business Corporation (SBC) announced on the 28th that it has signed an "Audit Work Agreement for Improving the Quality and Performance of Internal Audits" with Korea Expressway Corporation.

Through this agreement, both parties agreed to establish and operate a cooperative system for all audit-related tasks to promote the development of internal audit organizations. They also pledged to join forces to enhance the expertise of public institution audits and realize social value through fulfilling social responsibilities.

Specifically, plans include ▲ sharing audit techniques and best practices to improve the quality of internal audits ▲ exchanging audit-related information and technology ▲ supporting audit professionals and conducting joint training ▲ expanding mutual cooperation to fulfill the social responsibilities of public institutions.

The SBC has been continuously striving to improve the quality of internal audits and strengthen audit expertise. Earlier in July, it signed an audit work agreement with Korea Midland Power Co., Ltd. Kwak Seong-geun, Standing Auditor of SBC, stated, "SBC will make efforts to meet the high public expectations for anti-corruption and integrity in public institutions by expanding cooperation in audit work between institutions," adding, "We will also jointly promote activities to fulfill social responsibilities and become a trusted public institution for the people."
