Report and Review of Key Military Administration Work Plans, On-site Visits, and Handling of Ordinance Proposals

This extraordinary session will proceed with reports and hearings on the major administrative plans for 2022, the processing of 13 ordinance bills and general agendas, followed by site visits.
The session will listen to reports on the major administrative plans for 2022 over six days starting from the 28th, and on November 5, the standing committees will handle ordinance bills and general agendas. On the 8th, they will visit key project sites promoted by the county to receive updates on project progress, and on the 9th, a plenary session will be held to process ordinance bills and general agendas, concluding the 14-day schedule.
After the opening ceremony on the day, the first plenary session featured 5-minute free speeches by council members Choi Jeong-hwan and Kim Hyang-ran.
The first speaker, Vice Chairman Choi Jeong-hwan, spoke under the theme "Urging Active Policy Promotion and Attraction of Public Institutions in Geochang County in 2022!" He proposed policies and urged active project promotion on five local issues: ▲ Recovery of self-employed businesses struggling due to COVID-19 ▲ Free education at the Provincial Geochang College and half tuition fees at Korea Elevator College ▲ Attraction of the National Geochang Science Museum on the current support district office site and construction of a complex education center on surplus land of Geochang Elementary School ▲ Active attraction of the provincial education office staff training center and Gyeongnam Talent Development Institute ▲ Active promotion of regional base medical institutions.
Following this, council member Kim Hyang-ran, under the theme "Suggestions for Making Geochang an Environmental Capital," advocated reducing disposable products and achieving shared goods and a sharing economy to live in the carbon-neutral era.
Chairman Kim Jong-du said, "With just over two months left this year, let us reflect on the achievements and mistakes of the past year and prepare for the upcoming 2022 by reviewing whether the plans made at the beginning of the year are being properly implemented and preparing for a new start." He urged, "Please carefully review whether the major administrative plans for 2022 to be reported in this extraordinary session will realistically help regional development."
