Hanssem launches 'Rehouse Smart Home Package' combining remodeling and home IoT

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Hanssem Co., Ltd. announced on the 27th that it will officially enter the smart home market by launching the Rehaus 'Smart Home Package,' which offers its remodeling business Rehaus products together with home Internet of Things (IoT) devices as a package.

Last July, Hanssem decided to invest 3 billion KRW in 'Goqual,' a home IoT specialized venture company, to secure a leading position in the smart home sector, a recent trend in the interior market. Following this, Hanssem introduced the 'Smart Home Package,' which integrates Goqual’s home IoT device brand 'Hej home' and its own cloud platform into Hanssem’s remodeling package products.

The Smart Home Package is a package product where Hanssem’s remodeling design experts (RD) design various Hanssem Rehaus style package products along with a total of nine home IoT devices operated by Goqual throughout the house, and Hanssem’s construction team handles everything from remodeling construction to smart device installation.

All smart devices in the Smart Home Package can be controlled via the Hej home app operated by Goqual. In particular, the smart light switch and smart motorized curtains & blinds products allow users to remotely turn lights on and off or open and close curtains and blinds using a smartphone. Users can also set automatic controls by entering desired conditions such as day of the week and time, and voice control is possible when linked with an AI speaker. Depending on the user’s lifestyle, frequently performed actions and unnecessary activities at home can be remotely or automatically controlled, enabling a personalized and convenient smart home life, which is a major advantage.

Customers can also purchase a smart home camera that allows real-time monitoring of the interior of the house even when away, and a smart button product that stores frequently used smart device functions for use without a smartphone. In the future, Hanssem plans to add various smart devices such as smart door locks, smart doorbells, and motion sensors to the Smart Home Package.
