Hamyang-gun Holds Civil Servants' Policy Idea Competition

Forest Greenery Division Officer Kim Ji-hyun Wins Excellence Award for 'Summer (夏), to Ha(rim)'

Civil Servant Policy Idea Contest.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 26th that it held a ‘Civil Servant Policy Idea Contest’ in the large conference room of the county office to promote youth settlement and attract external young population.

According to the county, from July 16 to August 19, ideas on youth-friendly policies were solicited from all civil servants, receiving a total of 27 proposals. After the first round of evaluation by all departments in September, the top 10 proposals were finally selected.

At the contest held that day, the 10 proposals selected in the first round were presented and evaluated through Q&A sessions, comprehensively assessing feasibility, efficiency, creativity, and effort to select the final excellent proposals.

Kim Ji-hyun, an officer from the Forest Greenery Division, received the Excellence Award for the proposal ‘Summer (夏), to Ha(rim)’. Yu Kyung-ok, an officer from the Cultural Facilities Office, received the Encouragement Award for ‘Hamyang-gun and Youth Win-Win Project (Rural Customized Volunteer Work)’, and Ok Mi-ra, an officer from the Social Welfare Division, received the Encouragement Award for ‘Ice Pack Recycling Policy Promotion’.

The Excellence Award-winning proposal ‘Summer (夏), to Ha(rim)’ was a fresh and highly feasible idea to develop Harim Park into a dating spot in Hamyang-gun, providing a meeting space for young people.

Deputy Governor Kang Seung-je said, “This contest is an opportunity for employees to gather and deliberate on policies. It is a time when innovative ideas are needed to respond to population decline and ensure sustainable development of Hamyang-gun,” adding, “I hope this will be an opportunity to discover good policies and further enhance the level and capabilities of civil servants.”
