CEO Ryu was highly praised for leading Kakao's fintech business since 2013, when digital finance was emerging in South Korea, and growing Kakao Pay, the country's first simple payment service, into a lifestyle financial platform used by 36.5 million people.
As the 3rd president of the Korea Fintech Industry Association, he is also dedicated to leading the sound development of South Korea's fintech industry and innovation across the entire financial sector. By gathering opinions from over 330 member companies, he has made significant contributions to proposing the right development direction for the Korean fintech industry and creating a healthy innovative financial ecosystem.
