[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] The Korea Exchange announced on the 26th that it delivered a donation to the Ministry of Justice at its Seoul office to support vocational training equipment for juvenile detention centers.

This donation was prepared to enhance the effectiveness of vocational training education for juvenile detention center students and to help them become stably independent when they enter society in the future.

The foundation plans to replace outdated equipment such as comprehensive automobile diagnostic devices, dough mixers, and espresso machines, and support essential vocational training equipment at three juvenile detention centers in Gwangju, Daegu, and Anyang, with about 30 million KRW.

The Exchange has been promoting various support projects to help students in juvenile protection facilities return to society healthily. So far, it has donated about 500 million KRW for support such as providing GED textbooks for juvenile detention and probation students, psychological tests and treatment expenses for probation students, and emergency living expenses for juvenile probationers who are early or single parents.
