[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Junhyung] The Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs (TIPA) announced on the 26th that it will hold the '2021 Convergence Technology Cooperation Seminar' at the 22nd SME Technology Innovation Exhibition on the 28th.
This seminar was prepared to share the achievements of open innovation realized through cooperation among industrial innovation stakeholders. TIPA is promoting the 'Leading Research Institute Cooperative Technology Development Project,' which supports joint technology development between research institute experts and small and medium venture businesses, and the 'Convergence Technology Exchange Promotion Project,' which supports the establishment of cooperative networks among SMEs, universities, and research institutes.
At the seminar, presentations on technology development cases supported by the two projects and topics related to smart manufacturing and services will be conducted. Keynote speeches will also be held on creating a metaverse ecosystem and strengthening regional innovation ecosystems to activate open innovation.
Meanwhile, about 200 companies in technology fields such as materials, parts, and equipment (SoBuJang) will participate online in the 22nd SME Technology Innovation Exhibition. Many small and medium venture businesses supported by TIPA's research and development (R&D) will also participate.
A TIPA official said, "We will continue to communicate steadily with companies to build a sustainable open innovation ecosystem for small and medium venture businesses."
