[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Hankook Tire & Technology (hereinafter Hankook Tire) announced on the 26th that it has won first place for 13 consecutive years in the automotive tire category of the 'Korea Quality Satisfaction Index (KS-QEI)' through continuous research and development (R&D) investment and relentless efforts to satisfy customers.
In this 'Korea Quality Satisfaction Index' evaluation, Hankook Tire achieved excellent results in both the 'Usage Quality Index' including performance, reliability, and safety, and the 'Emotional Quality Index' including image, recognition, and novelty. It received the highest scores from the consumer groups participating in the evaluation.
Hankook Tire emphasized that as Korea's first tire specialized company, it has showcased the best technology and excellent quality through continuous innovation over the past 80 years.
Last year, despite the challenging business environment due to COVID-19, the global tire company rankings announced by the UK tire specialty magazine 'Tyrepress' and the US tire specialty magazine 'Tire Business' rose one step to 6th place.
Currently, it supplies original equipment (OE) tires to approximately 320 models from 46 global automobile brands, and recently, through optimal electric vehicle-specific tires in the rapidly growing electric vehicle market, it is supplying OE tires for the first pure electric vehicles of Porsche, Volkswagen, Audi, and others.
Meanwhile, the 'Korea Quality Satisfaction Index,' hosted by the Korea Standards Association and jointly conducted with the Korea Society for Quality Management, is the most prestigious comprehensive quality satisfaction indicator in Korea that evaluates customer satisfaction and quality excellence of products and services based on consumers with usage experience and experts in the relevant fields.
