"With Corona, With Police" ... Busan Police Agency Appoints Foreign 'Influencer' SNS Promotion Team

"With Corona, With Police" ... Busan Police Agency Appoints Foreign 'Influencer' SNS Promotion Team The appointment ceremony for the foreign influencer promotion team was held on the 25th at the Busan Police Agency.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Why did foreign ‘influencers’ gather at the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency?

On the 25th, prominent foreigners from the internet and social network world, including power bloggers, gathered one after another at the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency.

The Busan Metropolitan Police Agency invited these influential figures who spread information necessary for living in Korea, such as public safety policies and crime prevention, in line with the With-Corona era.

The Foreign Affairs Division of the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency formed an SNS promotion team composed of foreign influencers residing in Busan for rapid information delivery and held an appointment ceremony on this day.

They are ‘heavyweights’ actively working as power bloggers or influencers targeting their own nationals. The team consists of nine members from eight countries including China, Vietnam, and Russia.

Busan police expect their activities as they include residents from various sectors such as migrant women, international students, and workers.

They serve as cooperative partners of ‘Busan Life’ by increasing access to public safety information for foreigners residing in Busan and reducing blind spots in sharing such information.

When face-to-face activities became difficult due to COVID-19, the Busan police produced 32 multilingual card news editions covering social issues such as driving license education videos, crime prevention education materials that foreigners must know, step-by-step quarantine guidelines, and vaccination procedures.

A police official said, “We will continue to discover and inform about blind spots in public safety and build a dense safety net to support foreigners residing in Busan to settle as members of society.”
