[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] A man and a woman, initially investigated for dating violence, were additionally found to have used drugs and were handed over to the prosecution.

On the 25th, Gwangju Western Police Station announced that they had arrested a man in his 30s, Mr. A, on charges of special assault and violation of the Narcotics Control Act earlier this month, and sent him to the prosecution with a recommendation for indictment.

The woman in her 20s, Ms. B, who was initially investigated as a victim of assault, was handed over to the prosecution without detention on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act.

On the evening of the 4th, around 10 p.m., Mr. A suspected his girlfriend Ms. B of cheating at their home in Gwangsan-gu and assaulted her with a blunt weapon. As a result, Ms. B sustained serious injuries including fractures.
