Daekyo Gangwon Deep Sea Water Obtains International Food Safety 'FSSC22000' Certification

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Daekyo Group announced on the 25th that Gangwon Simcheongsu, a marine deep-sea water specialist company, has obtained the global food safety management system certification ‘FSSC22000 (Food Safety System Certification 22000)’.

‘FSSC22000’ is an international food safety standard approved by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GSFI) under the International Consumer Goods Forum.

In particular, this certification is recognized as a highly reliable international standard as its evaluation scope has expanded from the existing application range related to food manufacturing to include food packaging materials and storage containers for food management. It is a globally recognized certification through audits and verifications of over 40 items such as management responsibility, resource management, distribution management, and quality evaluation.

Gangwon Simcheongsu received high evaluations in this certification audit for operating a comprehensive safety system throughout the entire process from product development to distribution stages and for its customer-centered management practices.

A representative of Gangwon Simcheongsu stated, “Through this certification, we will continue to strive to improve the work processes and quality related to the production and distribution of all products under our flagship brand Cheonnyeondongan.”

For ESG management, Gangwon Simcheongsu has been committed to sustainable management by reducing the weight of PET bottles and launching the ‘Cheonnyeondongan Eco’ product without labels in July.
