[Special Stock] Ace Story Drops Nearly 20% After Drama 'Jirisan' Premiere

[Asia Economy Reporter Ji Yeon-jin] Ace Story's stock price has fallen more than 19% since the first broadcast of the drama 'Jirisan'.

As of 9:38 AM on this day, Ace Story's stock is trading at 39,900 KRW, down 19.48% (9,650 KRW) compared to the previous trading day.

The drama production company Ace Story saw its stock price surge significantly ahead of the first broadcast of Jirisan on the 23rd. Jirisan was written by star writer Kim Eun-hee, known for 'Kingdom' and 'Signal', and directed by Lee Eung-bok, who directed 'Goblin' and 'Descendants of the Sun'. The drama stars Jeon Ji-hyun and Ju Ji-hoon, generating high expectations even before airing. The first broadcast over the past weekend also ranked first in viewership ratings in its time slot.

However, the stock price dropped sharply on this day, analyzed to be due to viewers' harsh criticism of awkward computer graphics (CG) scenes.
