Dongseo Foods Introduces 'Paper Straws' for Cup Coffee

[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Dongseo Food announced on the 25th that it will introduce recyclable paper straws for Starbucks cup coffee products produced from the end of this month.

The products applying paper straws are all Starbucks cup coffee products in the 270ml size, including ▲Caffe Latte ▲Skinny Latte ▲Espresso ▲Smooth Americano. In December, the use of paper straws will be expanded to all Starbucks cup coffee products in the 200ml size, and next year, paper straws will be sequentially introduced to Maxim T.O.P cup coffee products.

The paper straws are made of eco-friendly paper material without concerns about environmental hormones and have been verified for safety by external testing agencies. They are recyclable as they are not coated with synthetic resins such as polyester (PE).

Dongseo Food expects that the introduction of paper straws will reduce plastic usage by approximately 36 tons annually.
