Total Fashion Festival from October 28 to 30 at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 1
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The ‘2021 Busan International Footwear & Textile Fashion Exhibition (Paepaebusan, Passion & Fashion)’ will be held at BEXCO, Haeundae from the 28th to the 30th.
Marking its 29th year, the ‘2021 Busan International Footwear & Textile Fashion Exhibition’ is hosted by Busan City and jointly organized by BEXCO, Busan Economic Promotion Agency (Footwear Industry Promotion Center), Korea Industrial Textile Association, Busan Fashion Industry Federation, and Busan Fashion Textile Industry Cooperative, with support from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
This event is the only comprehensive fashion exhibition in Korea, integrating three exhibitions featuring footwear, industrial textiles, and fashion apparel that reflect the latest trends and new technologies.
The ‘Busan International Footwear Exhibition’ features modular themed halls (Shoe Brand Hall, Shoe Green Smart Hall, Shoe Innovation Hall, Shoe Vision Hall), with various related companies participating under different themes, including the global smart footwear photography equipment company ‘Orbitview’ and domestic PET bottle recycling specialist ‘Geonbaek & Clavis’, showcasing the changes in the footwear industry.
Side events include the ‘C2C Resale Platform Exhibition’ by famous footwear YouTubers ‘Wadi’ and ‘Shoobje’, ‘Retro Shoes Exhibition’, ‘Win-Win Growth Expo’, ‘Custom Shoes Convention’, and ‘Custom Shoes Experience Donation Event’.
Children’s Foundation Green Umbrella and local nurses will be invited to offer support.
At the ‘Busan International Industrial Textile Materials Exhibition’, nonwoven fabrics, nanofibers, and fiber-reinforced composites will be introduced in the advanced materials industry hall.
The shipbuilding and marine lightweight materials industry hall will display high-performance lightweight materials used in structures and marine plants (elastic materials, ceramics, fusion composite materials, etc.).
Side events include archery experiences made with carbon fibers, the BITE forum, and joint academic conferences by the Korean Textile Engineering Society and the Korean Dyeing and Finishing Society.
At the ‘Busan International Textile Fashion Exhibition’, an innovative textile materials hall will be set up, exhibiting products researched and developed by the Busan Textile Materials Promotion Center.
The Smart Fashion Hall will feature digital fashion responding to the 4th Industrial Revolution, with participation from World Trading.
Additionally, major clothing brands such as Kolping, Parkland, Hyungji, and Sejung will participate, showcasing sophisticated styling and trendy sensibilities.
Side events include ‘Demand-tailored Buyer Order Consultations’, ‘YouTube Corporate Promotional Video Filming’, the ‘International Fashion Invitation Exhibition’ at the International Conference of the Korean Clothing Industry Association, and contests.
Other events include the Busan Fashion Design Competition, Busan Collection Fashion Show, and a special event inviting fashion YouTuber Happa.
The exhibition will be held both online and offline, with live streaming of the opening ceremony, live commerce (real-time interactive sales), and promotional YouTube filming by participating companies. Admission to the venue is free.
Shin Chang-ho, Director of Industry and Trade at Busan City, said, “This will be an opportunity for domestic and international buyers and industry experts to gather and present the direction of the footwear fashion industry after COVID-19.”
