[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Yoon Seung-min, a former lawmaker and presidential candidate of the People Power Party, on the 23rd criticized former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol, saying, "Conservative politicians do not engage in actions that incite the public with lies and falsehoods," and demanded, "If you want to participate in the conservative party primary, please maintain at least a basic level of dignity."

On the same day, Yoon Seung-min expressed his position on the debate with former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol held the previous day through social media (SNS). He pointed out, "In yesterday's debate, Candidate Yoon made statements about the Democratic Party's ‘income-led growth’ and ‘nuclear phase-out’ policies that were completely untrue regarding me."

Yoon Seung-min stated, "Candidate Yoon falsely claimed that I expressed considerable sympathy for the Democratic Party's income-led growth policy, but in my 2015 floor leader speech, I clearly said that ‘the income-led growth theory proposed by the opposition party needs to be reconsidered’ and that it ‘cannot be a solution for growth.’"

He especially criticized, "What is laughable is that Candidate Yoon not only makes absurd lies about the floor leader speech that I personally wrote and delivered but also absurdly tells me to ‘go home and read it.’ It is very ‘regrettable’ how Candidate Yoon, who often emphasizes his 26 years of experience as a prosecutor, can spread lies and falsehoods like this."

He also refuted accusations that he advocated for a nuclear phase-out policy. Yoon Seung-min said, "How can gradually reducing nuclear power over a long period be called a ‘nuclear phase-out’ policy? Is investing in renewable energy the same as a nuclear phase-out?" He added, "According to Candidate Yoon's logic, does he advocate putting all eggs in nuclear power without needing other renewable energies?" and countered, "This is why I seriously express concern over Candidate Yoon's statement that policy ability is unnecessary as long as he hires capable people."

Yoon Seung-min asked, "Candidate Yoon, did your aides coach you to just waste time by insisting on lies during the live TV debate?" and said, "Conservative politicians do not engage in actions that incite the public with lies and falsehoods."
