Hanbit Unit 5 Resumes Power Generation After One Year

[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Hanbit Nuclear Power Headquarters announced that Hanbit Nuclear Power Plant Unit 5 (1 million kW class) resumed power generation at 8:21 PM on the 23rd.

This comes one year after power generation stopped due to a problem with the steam generator during operation preparation in October last year.

During this process, issues with poor construction of the reactor head surfaced, delaying the restart.

The nuclear power authorities confirmed the poor construction, repaired the reactor head, and then decided to resume operation.
