"Will It Be Similar to the Previous Model?" Samsung Tablet PC 'Galaxy Tab S8' Renderings Appear Samsung Electronics Tablet PC 'Galaxy Tab S8' Expected Image

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Rendered images of Samsung Electronics' next-generation tablet PC, the 'Galaxy Tab S8,' expected to be released early next year, have been leaked.

On the 22nd (local time), IT specialized media SamMobile and GSMArena, citing famous IT tipster (leaker) Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks), revealed the expected images of the Tab S8.

According to the released images, the Tab S8 looks generally similar to its predecessor, the 'Galaxy Tab S7.' The bezels are thin and evenly arranged around the LCD display, and the rear and sides are designed flat. Additionally, the antenna line cutout on the back and the magnetic strip for charging the S Pen are the same.

However, the position of the magnetic S Pen holder is separated from the camera housing, which is a difference from the previous model. The earlier product, the 'Galaxy Tab S6,' also had the camera and S Pen holder separated like the Tab S8. The camera is reported to feature a dual setup with 13MP and 5MP sensors. Meanwhile, SamMobile added that although no rendering images have been released, the 'Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra' may apply thinner bezels using BRS (Border Reduction Structure) technology.

The Tab S8 series is expected to be released in three models: the 'Galaxy Tab S8,' 'Galaxy Tab S8 Plus (+),' and the Tab S8 Ultra. The previous 'Galaxy Tab S7' series consisted of two models: the base model and the Plus model.

The Tab S8 will feature an 11-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, support for the S Pen, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. The battery capacity is expected to be 8,000mAh. The Tab S8+ will have a 12.4-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and quad speakers. Its battery capacity is 10,090mAh. Both the Tab S8 and Tab S8+ are expected to come with 8GB of RAM and storage options of 128GB or 256GB.

The newly added Ultra model will target users who prefer a large screen by applying a 14.6-inch large display. The screen is also expected to be an OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and support for the S Pen. It is reported to be equipped with up to 12GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and a 12,000mAh battery. Additionally, all models in the series are expected to support 45W fast charging.

The new tablet lineup is expected to be unveiled early next year alongside Samsung Electronics' flagship smartphone series, the 'Galaxy S22.' Prices are projected to start at 829,000 KRW for the Tab S8, 1,149,000 KRW for the Tab S8+, and 1,469,000 KRW for the Tab S8 Ultra model.
