According to the COVID-19 Vaccination Response Promotion Team (Promotion Team) on the 23rd, the cumulative number of people who have completed vaccination by receiving all recommended doses of the COVID-19 vaccine reached 35,630,50 as of midnight that day.

The vaccination completion rate compared to South Korea's population of 51,349,116 is 69.4%, and the completion rate among adults aged 18 and over has exceeded 80% for the first time, reaching 80.7%.

The completion rate is close to the government's benchmark of 70% (35,944,381 people) for transitioning to 'step-by-step daily recovery' (With Corona). The additional number of people needed to reach 70% completion is 314,331.

Prime Minister Kim Boo-kyum said in his remarks at the Daily Recovery Support Committee the day before, "It is expected that the vaccination completion rate will exceed 70% of the entire population as early as tomorrow (the 23rd)," adding, "We are gradually approaching the starting point of step-by-step daily recovery."

The number of people who newly completed vaccination the day before was 621,014. By vaccine type, Pfizer accounted for 373,363, Moderna 236,893, and AstraZeneca (AZ) 9,269.

The cumulative number of completed vaccinations by vaccine type is Pfizer 19,303,805, AZ 10,924,039 (including 1,733,895 cross-vaccinations), Moderna 3,925,881, and Janssen 1,476,325.

The number of people who received their first dose the day before was 62,946. By vaccine type, Pfizer was 53,830, Moderna 7,347, Janssen 1,489, and AZ 280.

The cumulative number of first-dose recipients is 40,712,30, which is about 79.3% of the population, and 91.8% when based on the population aged 18 and over.

Currently, four types of vaccines?AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Janssen, and Moderna?are being administered domestically. The Janssen vaccine is completed with one dose, while the other vaccines require two doses.
