[Asia Economy Reporter Na Ye-eun] Former volleyball player Kim Yohan (36) revealed that he was subjected to malicious comment attacks after mentioning the school violence controversy involving the twin sisters Lee Ja-young and Lee Da-young on a broadcast.

On the 22nd, Kim Yohan uploaded a video titled "Received DM attacks after mentioning Lee Ja-young and Lee Da-young sisters" on his YouTube channel 'Kim Yohan TV.' He said, "At the time, the 'Maebul Show' team asked if it was okay to mention Lee Ja-young and Lee Da-young," adding, "I said I could talk about it but only based on what was reported in the articles. Because it was something everyone in the country already knew."

He continued, "For example, I knew about Lee Da-young's marriage, which everyone knows now, but I did not mention it," and added, "There was no need to mention that. I was cautious, but since I only spoke about things everyone knew, I thought it wouldn't cause a big controversy."

He then said, "After the broadcast, I received messages mixed with insults from fans of Lee Ja-young and Lee Da-young. I felt that there were not only domestic fans but also many overseas fans. Overseas fans also sent messages with English insults. There was nothing positive," and added, "The main content was 'Make a correction,' 'Don't talk without knowing,' and so on." He also said he received messages threatening legal action if related articles were not corrected.

Kim Yohan said, "I didn't understand what kind of lawsuit they were talking about. Looking at the people who sent insults, they were all secondary accounts, but usually secondary accounts are hard to track even if reported," and warned, "They are abusing this method, but I will report them so they all have to pay fines."

He added, "Some people who liked me said they were disappointed. If I had caused social controversy, I could humbly accept it, but I don't know if I made a big mistake," and said, "If they were really confident, they would send messages from their main accounts, but (the malicious commenters) are not brave. I don't want to be shaken by this kind of thing."

Meanwhile, on the 13th of last month, Kim Yohan appeared on 'Jung Young-jin and Choi Wook's Maebul Show' and said, "I don't know much about the sisters' school days," but added, "The victims must have had a hard time. Violence should definitely disappear."

When asked about the influence of the sisters' mother, former national volleyball player Kim Kyung-hee, he said, "She has no influence in the professional league, but she might have influence in the team (Heungkuk Life, the sisters' former club)," and added, "In school sports, since she was a national representative, she must have had tremendous influence."
