Weekend Nationwide Clear Skies with Chilly Morning Temperatures... Widening Daily Temperature Range

[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] As the weekend approaches, the weather across the country is generally clear, but cold temperatures around 5 degrees Celsius are expected to continue in inland areas in the morning.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 22nd, on Saturday the 23rd, the weather will be mostly clear nationwide except for occasional clouds along the East Coast and Jeju Island. On the 24th, the weather will be clear nationwide, but clouds will increase occasionally in the Chungcheong and southern regions in the afternoon.

On the 23rd, which marks the solar term Sanggang (霜降: the time when frost falls), the morning low temperatures are expected to range from 1 to 11 degrees Celsius, and the daytime highs from 16 to 21 degrees Celsius, indicating a large temperature difference between day and night. Both the low and high temperatures on the 23rd will be similar to those on the 22nd.

Expected low and high temperatures by region are Seoul 6°C and 18°C, Incheon 8°C and 16°C, Daejeon 4°C and 19°C, Gwangju 6°C and 20°C, Ulsan 9°C and 18°C, and Busan 10°C and 21°C.

Temperatures on the 24th are also expected to be similar to the previous day. The low and high temperatures on that day are forecasted to be between 1 and 12 degrees Celsius and 16 to 21 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Regional forecasts for the 24th are Seoul 6°C and 17°C, Incheon 8°C and 16°C, Daejeon 5°C and 19°C, Gwangju 8°C and 19°C, Daegu 7°C and 19°C, Ulsan 8°C and 20°C, and Busan 12°C and 21°C.
