[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Seunghyun] Mokpo City, Jeollanam-do, will conduct the '2021 Disaster Response Safe Korea Training' on the 25th and 26th to enhance large-scale disaster preparedness and response capabilities.
According to the city on the 22nd, this year's training will be conducted in a discussion training format without on-site or collective training, considering the COVID-19 situation, following the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's guidelines.
Accordingly, on the 25th, discussion training will be held with related organizations, and on the 26th, private multi-use facilities will conduct their own fire evacuation drills.
The training will focus on establishing a rapid and organic operation system of 13 collaborative functions through situation assessment meetings and activation and operation of the Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, as well as strengthening collaborative response capabilities through integrated inter-agency linkage training.
A city official stated, "Last year, we could not conduct the training due to COVID-19, but this year, it will be simplified into discussion training and conducted while adhering to quarantine rules," adding, "We will strengthen the collaborative system with related organizations to prepare for various disaster accidents."
