[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Soyoung] Kang Yoon-hyung, a psychiatrist and wife of Won Hee-ryong, the People Power Party's presidential candidate and former governor of Jeju Province, said about Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party's presidential candidate, "'Rather than being like 'Janus's two faces' or 'Jekyll and Hyde,' he shows sociopathic or antisocial tendencies."
On the 20th, Kang appeared on the Maeil Newspaper YouTube broadcast 'Gwanpungnu' and claimed, "Looking at Lee's attitude during the National Assembly audit on the Daejang-dong preferential treatment allegations, the scandal involving insults to his brother and sister-in-law, and the dating controversy with Kim Bu-seon, he shows no concern for others' pain or suffering."
She continued, "It is called antisocial personality disorder, and the characteristic of those with personality problems and disorders is that they themselves are not distressed, but those around them are," explaining, "Therefore, it is difficult to treat."
She added, "Instead of love or consideration for people living together and coexisting in the world, there is anger, distortion, resentment, grudge, and revenge," and said, "He infringes on people's rights and what others have, and uses them. He has the characteristic of feeling no conscience or guilt about mercilessly exploiting others."
Kang said, "From the side, he actually appears attractive. From the perspective of those not directly affected, he shows aspects that can be attractive," and added, "Even a con artist commits fraud with 95% truth and 5% lies. It makes me feel fearful."
Regarding the 'insult to sister-in-law' audio file of Lee, she said, "Honestly, I try not to listen to it. I think it would not be good for my mental health," and added, "I can imagine it without listening. I don't want to listen."
Comparing former Governor Won and candidate Lee, she said, "I understand both are the same age (born in 1964). Their childhood poverty is also similar. The stark difference is that our candidate grew up loved under warm and harmonious parents. That is important."
She stated, "The position of president is a very important one," and added, "The character of a president must be based on at least common sense. It must be someone whose character the people can accept." She also expressed, "It is regrettable that Lee Jae-myung receives that level of support. Although he is from another party, I worry about how the Republic of Korea has come to this because he became the candidate of that party."
