[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] The prosecution investigating the Daejang-dong development lobbying and preferential treatment allegations summoned the four key figures of Daejang-dong for a confrontation investigation.
According to the legal community on the 21st, the dedicated investigation team of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office (led by Deputy Chief Prosecutor Kim Tae-hoon) summoned the four individuals in the morning: Kim Man-bae, the major shareholder of Hwacheon Daeyu; Yoo Dong-gyu, former Planning Director of Seongnam Urban Development Corporation; lawyer Nam Wook; and accountant Jung Young-hak, conducting a four-party confrontation investigation.
The prosecution reportedly arranged the four-party face-to-face meeting because their testimonies conflicted with each other. It is also known that the content of this confrontation investigation will be included in the indictment against former Director Yoo.
Additionally, during the investigation, lawyer Nam Wook reportedly testified that 'that person,' mentioned as the actual owner of Cheonhwa Dongin No. 1, is former Director Yoo.
Previously, before his arrival, lawyer Nam stated in an interview, "I do not recall Kim referring to former Director Yoo as 'that person,'" suggesting the possibility that 'that person' might be a third party, not former Director Yoo. However, in a later interview, he said, "This case has nothing to do with Governor Lee Jae-myung."
