Ilye Science Subsidiary Aitronics Appoints Jijeongseok as New CEO

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Aitronics, a future car autonomous driving technology company and a subsidiary of smart optical tech company IL Science, announced on the 21st that it has appointed Ji Seok, former Vice President of Yanolja, as its new CEO (photo).

CEO Ji graduated from Yonsei University with a degree in Business Administration and from Stanford University in the United States with a graduate degree in International Relations. He is a strategic planning expert with practical experience at major corporations such as Samsung and LG. He led company growth while serving as Head of Planning and Coordination at The Face Shop, Vice President of Yanolja, and Vice President of IL Science.

CEO Ji plans to actively establish an organic cooperative system between IL Science and Aitronics. By utilizing IL Science’s silicon lenses for ▲electric vehicle headlamp multi-beam systems ▲electric vehicle charging smart pole systems and combining them with Aitronics’ core infrastructure technologies such as ▲Intelligent Transportation Systems (C-ITS), they will target the future car market.

Aitronics plans to integrate the fundamental technology for Hi-Pass development and 5G-based vehicle-to-everything communication (C-V2X) in accordance with the government’s 'Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Basic Plan 2030.' Through this, it will enhance accessibility to approximately 15 million Hi-Pass terminals, about 1.5 million vehicle driving video recorders, and traffic information collection data, thereby providing more advanced intelligent transportation system services.

CEO Ji stated, "C-V2X is a key technology that enables fully automated traffic infrastructure. Aitronics has devoted over 10 years to the C-ITS business and is currently conducting technical cooperation with related organizations on 5G-based V2X communication methods," adding, "I will leverage the know-how gained from rapid startup growth to help Aitronics achieve a second leap forward."

Meanwhile, IL Science acquired 80% of Aitronics’ shares together with financial investors (FI) on the 6th to strengthen its pipeline in the future car market and incorporated it as a consolidated subsidiary.
