Providing Safe Civil Complaint Administrative Services through Emergency Situation Simulation Training in Collaboration with Hamyang Police Station
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the afternoon of the 21st, Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, conducted a simulation drill at the Civil Service Department of the county office to prepare for unusual civil complaint situations such as verbal abuse and assault that may occur during civil complaint processing. About 20 people participated, including civil service officers, security guards, and police officers from Hamyang Police Station.
This simulation drill was organized to protect civil service officers from verbal abuse and assault by malicious complainants that have recently occurred, and to improve on-site response capabilities to quickly deal with damages to other visiting complainants.
The county maximized the effectiveness of the joint training by assuming real situations such as calming and mediating complainants according to the civil complaint response manual for each situation, activating the 112 emergency bell when the situation worsens, transmitting real-time situations to the 112 comprehensive situation room, and suppressing unusual complaints after police arrival.
A county official stated, “We have installed and are operating an emergency bell linked with Hamyang Police Substation for the safety of civil service officers and complainants,” and added, “We will do our best to provide kind and communicative civil administrative services by conducting joint simulation drills every year.”
