According to the police on the 20th, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Violent Crime Investigation Unit conducted supplementary investigations on the case and notified the prosecution of the results on the 18th. It was confirmed that there was no change in the conclusions regarding the suspect's charges.
Earlier, on the 9th of last month, the police had sent Kim Mo, the 'fake seafood businessman' accused of violating the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act (Anti-Graft Act), along with seven others including journalists and legal professionals, to the prosecution. Subsequently, the prosecution found some evidence in the police investigation to be insufficient and requested supplementary investigations.
