[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] SK Hynix released a video on its YouTube channel on the 21st to more easily inform stakeholders about and garner empathy for its mid- to long-term roadmap for creating Social Value (SV), 'SV 2030,' announced earlier this year.
SV 2030 is a mid- to long-term plan established by SK Hynix to realize a new corporate spirit that empathizes with society and solves problems, and to maximize SV creation. It identifies four major SV creation areas: environment, mutual growth, social safety net, and corporate culture, and specifies goals to be achieved by 2030 in each area.
This video features a character named 'Han Heeseung,' reminiscent of the company, as the presenter, who explains the somewhat unfamiliar concept of SV 2030 and SK Hynix’s related activities in an easy-to-understand manner for the general public. Especially as ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) has recently become a hot topic, terms frequently appearing in daily life such as RE100 and Net Zero are explained with appropriate visual materials and descriptions to facilitate understanding, and various SV creation activities promoted by SK Hynix are organized for a comprehensive overview.
Earlier this year, SK Hynix conducted a long-term analysis of SV and ESG activity trends to concretize SV 2030, and set goals by reflecting the values pursued by the company and the opinions of various stakeholders. As a result, the SV promotion directions were specified into four areas: Green 2030 in the environmental field, Advance Together in the supply chain mutual growth field, social safety net for fulfilling social roles, and corporate culture encompassing member development and diversity and inclusion.
