Kim Seonho issued an official statement on the 20th apologizing to Ms. A.

In a post on an online community that day, Ms. A said, "I apologize for unintentionally causing harm to many people through my post," and added, "Both he and I had a time when we truly loved each other, but seeing him collapse in an instant because of some of my extreme words also pains me."

She also warned of legal action against those spreading baseless rumors about her or engaging in 'doxxing.'

The law firm Choi Sun, representing Ms. A, stated that day, "Ms. A's personal information has been indiscriminately disclosed, and continuous criticism based on false facts, even threats to her safety, have persisted," and emphasized, "We respectfully request that excessive speculation and defamation be refrained from to prevent further damage. We plan to take all possible legal measures against malicious content."

Earlier, on the 17th, Ms. A posted a message on the community titled "Exposing the double-faced and shameless reality of the trending actor K." She identified herself as K actor's ex-girlfriend and claimed that K actor pressured her to have an abortion.

Although Ms. A did not reveal K actor's real name, suspicions arose online that K actor was the same person as Kim Seonho.

As the controversy grew, Kim Seonho released an official statement through his agency Salt Entertainment on the 20th, saying, "Recently, my name was mentioned in articles, and feeling fear for the first time, I am now leaving this message," and bowed his head, saying, "We met with good feelings, but during that process, I caused hurt due to my negligence and thoughtless behavior."

Before Kim Seonho's official statement, the advertising industry had already switched videos and photos featuring him as a model to private.
