[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Following Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon's statement on the 19th during the National Assembly audit that he is considering various plans to eliminate political bias from Seoul Media Foundation tbs's 'Kim Eo-jun's News Factory,' he continued to criticize by saying, "The reason for the number one listener rating is due to sensationalism."

On the 20th, Mayor Oh appeared at the National Assembly Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee audit held at Seoul City Hall and responded to Jang Kyung-tae of the Democratic Party's question, "We should carefully consider the significance of achieving the number one radio listener rating," by saying, "The reason for being number one is sensationalism."

Regarding Jang's remark that tbs's disciplinary status is not significantly different or is lower compared to other broadcasters, he replied, "A flat comparison inevitably loses objectivity," adding, "Other broadcasters have a wide variety of current affairs programs. tbs probably has very few. This should not be compared."

At the National Assembly Public Administration and Security Committee audit the previous day, Mayor Oh also responded to a question from Lee Young of the People Power Party, saying, "Citizens would think it is unfair that programs warned by the Korea Communications Commission for political bias are broadcast during the prime morning traffic broadcast time, when tbs should be focusing on its main role," and added, "We cannot help but consider ways to eliminate political bias from the programs. We are refining various plans."
