[Asia Economy (Sejong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Sejong City will provide temporary public jobs for employment-vulnerable groups.
The city announced on the 20th that it will implement the "2nd Hope Work Support Project" as part of emergency livelihood support due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
The project will temporarily hire and deploy 111 people in areas such as vaccine administration support, daily quarantine, support for the recovery of local small businesses, and improvement of public rest spaces.
The project period is until December 7, and the participants are low-income employment-vulnerable groups, unemployed people needing economic support due to COVID-19, and self-employed individuals who have temporarily closed or gone out of business.
Participants will assist in ensuring smooth vaccination, conduct visitor temperature checks, and improve the surrounding environment at eup/myeon/dong administrative welfare centers and multi-use public facilities.
Citizens wishing to participate can apply by bringing their ID and relevant documents to their local eup/myeon/dong community service center by the 22nd.
Hwang Byung-soon, head of the city's Job Policy Division, said, "We hope that providing temporary public jobs will offer practical help to residents facing livelihood difficulties," and added, "We ask for the citizens' great interest and participation."
