Various Business Partnerships to Revitalize the E-commerce and D2C Markets
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] Hana Bank announced on the 20th that it has signed a business agreement with Duson Company to revitalize the e-commerce and D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) markets and will engage in various partnerships.
Through this agreement, Hana Bank plans to provide supply chain finance to support the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises using Duson Company's services, as well as specialized foreign exchange services for overseas export support, in a Banking as a Service (BaaS) model. BaaS, which embeds banking services into other platforms to offer convenient financial experiences, has recently emerged as a new collaborative business model in the banking sector.
Additionally, Hana Bank will provide an automated settlement solution to efficiently manage logistics cost settlements to strengthen Duson Company's logistics service competitiveness, and will also support funding and securitization for logistics center expansion.
Furthermore, the bank plans to enhance comprehensive business cooperation in the area of ‘fourth-party logistics fulfillment,’ which offers customized consulting services through fulfillment data analysis, and to promote the overseas expansion of domestic online sellers. Fulfillment refers to an integrated service that handles the entire process from product receipt, storage, inventory management, shipping, to returns and exchanges, ensuring ordered products are delivered to customers via logistics warehouses.
Park Ji-hwan, Vice President of Hana Bank’s CIB Group, stated, “As the importance of fulfillment services in the e-commerce market continues to grow, Hana Bank will continue to collaborate and invest with high-potential startups like Duson Company to prepare for innovation in distribution methods.”
