Event Video Featuring BTS and Carbon Neutrality Message Released to Encourage Customer Participation
Customers Engage Directly via Social Media Video
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] On the 20th, Hyundai Motor Company released a digital event video with global brand ambassadors BTS to emphasize the importance of carbon neutrality and spread the brand message.
Along with this, Hyundai Motor is conducting the 'Expecting Gen1 (#ExpectingGen1)' campaign, which customers can directly participate in. The Expecting Gen1 campaign stands for Hyundai Motor's global carbon neutrality theme, "Expecting Generation One." Hyundai recently named the first generation to personally experience the positive changes brought by achieving carbon neutrality as "Generation One."
Alongside the digital video release, Hyundai Motor is running two types of challenge events that customers can participate in using short video platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
The challenge events consist of a dance challenge (#Move4Gen1), which encourages customer participation by developing choreography based on the concept of carbon neutrality, and a relay challenge (#Pass2Gen1), which spreads what can be passed on to future generations through carbon neutrality.
The challenges, scheduled to run until next month, involve customers watching the message explained by BTS in the event video and the call to participate, then creating their own content and sharing it on platforms like TikTok.
Hyundai Motor expects that BTS's participation will naturally encourage the MZ generation to join, creating a positive influence and spreading the message to a wider audience beyond those who directly participate with diverse content.
A Hyundai Motor official stated, "We prepared this video and event using channels and content favored by the global MZ generation to make the still unfamiliar concept of carbon neutrality easy to understand," adding, "We will continue sincere communication that spans generations and global customers for a sustainable future."
