[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] KT announced on the 20th that it will conduct the ‘Relay of Love Blood Donation’ campaign with 16 organizations belonging to the Gwanghwamun One Team to solve the blood supply shortage caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
This campaign started at the suggestion of KMI Korea Medical Institute to participate in stabilizing the blood supply and solve social problems. The Relay of Love Blood Donation, which began on the 13th of this month, will be held every Wednesday throughout October in front of the Jongno Promotion Center in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
Any employee of the Gwanghwamun One Team can select their preferred blood donation date through the One Team’s good platform ‘Nanujeong’ application. As of this date, about 150 people have participated in blood donation, and over 300 have applied.
Lee Seon-ju, KT ESG Management Promotion Director (Executive Director), said, “The activities of the Gwanghwamun One Team shine even more when our society faces difficulties,” and added, “We will continue to join forces to overcome COVID-19 together and take the lead in adding value to our entire society.”
Since its launch in May, the Gwanghwamun One Team includes a total of 16 companies, local governments, and non-profit organizations based in Gwanghwamun. Members of the Gwanghwamun One Team include Seoul City, Jongno-gu Office, Jongno Police Station, Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Korea Trade Insurance Corporation, LINA Life Insurance, Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, Bae, Kim & Lee LLC, Lee & Ko LLC, Maeil Dairies, KMI, Community Chest of Korea, Korea Central Volunteer Center, YMCA, Korea Press Foundation, and KT.
